Aquatimer is one of my most favorite diving watches, actually it is also very popular among people who like diver’s watches. The round case is big but built to be very strong to withstand the high pressure under water. Not only Aquatimer has a big and robust case, it also has a perfect dial design that is highly readable. Every time when I visited IWC boutique, I wanted to buy one Aquatimer watch, but finally decided not to buy, because I can not hold it, my wrist is thin and the watch is too big for me. However, I already bought one Portuguese chrono watch, it is my most favorite IWC watch.
This Aquatimer 2000 replica I am going to introduce is from V6 factory, it is not a new model, V6 produced it several years ago, but I just found there is such a beautiful watch, maybe I paid too much attention to other models like Noob Daytona, Submariner and PAMs, and did not notice this tough guy, in fact, it deserves our attention.
First, made by V6 factory, its quality is not bad, in fact, much superior to most replica watches in the market. The case is in round shape and has a diameter of 44mm, case thickness is up to 15mm, not too thick, because for most Panerai Submersible watches, the case is thicker than 15mm. Each crown on the side of the case has different purpose, the right crown is for time and date adjusting, about the crown on the left, it is a helium valve button on genuine watch, while it has no function on the replica. The design of the case makes the dial look big also, I have seen many diver’s watches, they have big and strong case design, while their dial is too crowded.
Black dial has a multi-layer structure, on the beveled inner bezel, there are diving scales from 0 to 15 minutes that are lumed in green. Hour hand and hour markers are applied with white luminous material, they will emit blue light in dark condition, while the minute hand has green lume coating like 0-15min diving scales. High readability and clean dial design are two big things I like on this watch.
Behind solid case back, it is an automatic movement inside, which is Miyota 9015. Many watch factories now use this movement in their replica watches, but it has one disadvantage, that is the movement has a louder rotor than other Asia automatic movement. However, this does not affect the movement stability, and Miyota 9015 movement is also very accurate and usually has no issues. By the way, V6 factory has a modification on the autor rotor to make it look closer to genuine IWC calibre.
